Scarlett Johansson was born on November 22, 1984, in New York City New York. She is an American actor and singer whose talents have earned her recognition in a variety of types of films ranging from thrillers and action films to period dramas. Johansson is the daughter of an architect and producer, was brought up within New York City. The twin brothers Hunter as well as her mother were her youngest siblings. She began to develop an interest in acting from a very young age auditioning for commercials by age seven. She became interested in acting rapidly and she soon after at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. In the Off-Broadway play Sophistry she worked with Ethan Hawke. She then made her first film appearance on screen in North (1994) which was written by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson later appeared on the screen in Just Cause (1995), but her first break occurred through Manny & Lo a coming of age film about sisters running away. The Horse Whisperer (2000), in which she played the role of a teenage girl who has a deformity because of an accident earned an acclaim from critics. In Ghost World 2001 (as the teenager who is a cynical outcast Rebecca) Johansson received an even greater amount of attention. She has given some of the most impressive performance, such as in Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith started her career in entertainment from a very young age. As a child, Smith became interested in acting. Thanks to the encouragement from her parents, Smith got her first acting job when she was just six. Smith appeared in an Dannon commercial for television. She decided, like the majority of actresses just beginning to get their feet wet, she would work on her skills in theatre. She took part in different projects throughout the USA as she made her stage debut. She was a graduate of her Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
